7. AI Connector (Claude and ChatGPT)

Case Bench offers an optional AI connector that lets you use your Case Bench data inside third-party AI assistants such as Claude (by Anthropic) and ChatGPT (by OpenAI). The connector is off by default and is used only if you choose to connect it.

  1. How it is enabled: You add the Case Bench connector in your own Claude or ChatGPT account, log in to Case Bench and approve access. Case Bench does not connect to these assistants on its own.
  2. What is shared: When you ask the assistant a question, it may request your Case Bench records to answer it, such as cases, hearing dates and history, your daily board, linked cases and IAs, clients and advocates linked to a case, case notes, document details and the text content of your documents, tasks, fees, invoices, advocate expenses, appointments, and your team members' names, contact numbers and workload. The connector can also fetch the public live display board of a High Court and show where your listed matters stand on it. Only data that your Case Bench login is allowed to see is shared: advocate and partner logins see only the cases their role permits, fee and invoice data is shared only with logins allowed to view fees, and the team list and advocate expenses are shared only with the firm admin and partners.
  3. Read-only access: The connector cannot create, change or delete any data in Case Bench.
  4. What we store: We store the access tokens for the connection (in hashed form), the app it was connected from and when it was last used. We do not receive or store your conversations with the AI assistant.
  5. How the AI provider uses the data: Data sent to Claude or ChatGPT is handled by that provider under its own terms and privacy policy and your account settings with them. Please review those policies before connecting. Section 10 (Third party sites) also applies.
  6. Disconnecting: You can remove the connector from your Claude or ChatGPT account at any time. The firm admin can also disconnect all AI connections for the firm from the Settings page in Case Bench, after which no further data is shared.

8. AI Features inside Case Bench

Some Case Bench features use third-party AI and document-processing providers. When you use one of these features, the information needed for it is sent to the provider to produce the result:

  1. AI Assistant: An optional feature that the firm admin turns on by adding their own API key from Anthropic (Claude) or DeepSeek. Questions asked in the assistant, and the Case Bench records needed to answer them, are sent to the provider the admin selected. We store the API key in encrypted form and keep a list of recent questions so they can be reused.
  2. AI Drafter: When you generate or revise a draft, your instructions, the details of the case you select and the text of any reference documents you attach are sent to DeepSeek to generate the draft.
  3. Hearing Preparation: When you generate a hearing preparation note, the case details, hearing history, orders and case notes of that case are sent to DeepSeek to generate the note.
  4. Document text recognition (OCR): When you scan or convert a document to text, the document is sent to Sarvam AI to extract the text.

Data is sent to these providers only when you use the relevant feature, and they process it under their own terms and privacy policies. Results that you choose to save are stored in your Case Bench account.

9. Email Opt-Out

You can opt out of receiving our marketing emails: To stop receiving our promotional emails, please email contact@casebench.in. It may take about ten days to process your request.
