Most advocates in India already use ChatGPT or Claude for something: drafting a notice, summarising a judgment, polishing an email to a client. But until now, these AI assistants knew nothing about your practice. They could not tell you which matters are listed tomorrow, what happened at the last hearing, or which clients still owe fees.
That changes today. With the new CaseBench AI Connector, you can connect your CaseBench case diary to ChatGPT or Claude and ask questions about your cases in plain English. The answers come straight from your live CaseBench data.
Add https://casebench.in/mcp as a custom connector in ChatGPT or Claude, log in to CaseBench, click Allow, and start asking. Read-only, role-based, and it works with your own ChatGPT or Claude account.

What Is the CaseBench AI Connector?
The AI Connector links your CaseBench account to the AI assistant you already use. It is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard that ChatGPT and Claude use for custom connectors. Once connected, the AI can look things up in your case diary whenever your question needs it, much like a junior who can check the diary for you.
You do not need to copy-paste case details, export spreadsheets or upload files. You simply ask, and the assistant fetches what it needs from CaseBench.
What You Can Ask ChatGPT or Claude About Your Cases
Here are some questions you can ask once CaseBench is connected:
- Hearings and cause list: "What is on my board this week?" or "Which of my cases are listed tomorrow, and what happened at the last hearing?"
- Case history: "Summarise the hearing history of the bail matter in Sessions Court." The AI reads the proceedings and gives you a short brief before you walk into court.
- Fees: "Which clients still owe fees this month?" or "Show pending fees for this case."
- Tasks and appointments: "List my overdue tasks" or "What appointments do I have on Friday?"
- Clients and team: "Who is the client in this matter?" or "Which advocates are assigned to this case?"
- Notes and documents: "Show my notes on this case" or "Which documents have I uploaded for this matter?"
Because ChatGPT and Claude are good at writing, you can go one step further in the same chat: "Draft a short WhatsApp update for the client based on the last hearing." The assistant reads the case from CaseBench and writes the update for you to review and send.

- In the Claude app or on claude.ai, open Settings and go to Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector, name it CaseBench and paste
https://casebench.in/mcp. - Log in to CaseBench when asked and click Allow.
You can also find these steps, along with a Copy URL button, under Settings → AI Connector in CaseBench on the web, or by tapping Connect with AI on the CaseBench mobile app home screen.
Is It Safe? How Your Client Data Is Protected
Confidentiality is non-negotiable for advocates, so we built the connector with strict limits:
- Read-only: the AI can look up your cases, but it cannot add, change or delete anything in CaseBench.
- Role-based access for law firms: each advocate or partner connects with their own CaseBench login, and the AI sees only what that login can see. An associate assigned to 40 matters sees those 40, not the whole firm's diary.
- You approve every connection: nothing is shared until you log in to CaseBench and click Allow.
- Disconnect any time: the firm admin can disconnect all AI connections from Settings or from the mobile app in one click.
When the AI looks something up, that information is sent to ChatGPT or Claude so it can answer you, under the privacy terms of your OpenAI or Anthropic account. Review those terms, and your firm's own policy on AI tools, before connecting.
What Does It Cost?
The AI Connector is available with your CaseBench subscription at no extra charge. The AI usage itself runs on your own ChatGPT or Claude account, so it is billed to that plan, not to CaseBench. Which connector features you get depends on your ChatGPT or Claude plan.
Who Should Use It?
- Solo advocates who want a quick answer to "what's on tomorrow?" without opening the diary.
- Chamber advocates and boutique law firms where every team member needs answers about their own matters.
- Litigation teams preparing for hearings, who want a fast summary of a case's history before stepping into court.
